Our ongoing Blogger/Author Pairings series features conversations between authors and bloggers who share territories, passions, and preoccupations. Brooklynite Jami Attenberg’s new novel The Middlesteins is the story of a woman consumed by her obsession with food, and the generations of family struggling to help her, each with their own array of issues. Praised by Jonathan Franzen and others, the big-hearted novel reinforces Attenberg’s place on the literary map. Maris Kreizman is the creator of Slaughterhouse 90210, a blog that combines her love of literature with her appreciation for kitschy television, and a huge fan of Attenberg’s work. The conversation will be introduced by the series curator Ron Hogan, creator of the seminal literary blog Beatrice.com.
