The 7th annual Fort Greene Park Summer Literary Festival will present a free outdoor reading on August 20th at 3:00 PM featuring young writers (seven to eighteen-year-olds) reading alongside Brooklyn all-star authors. Created by the wonderful Fort Greene nonprofit organization New York Writers Coalition, this exciting event brings several generations of writers together to build on the rich literary traditions of the neighborhoods surrounding beautiful Fort Greene Park. Greenlight is honored to be the alternate "rain venue" for the event, and to welcome all of the authors and audience to the bookstore after the event for music, mingling, refreshments, and a chance to purchase copies of books by the featured Festival authors.
