Fort Greene author Alison Espach received her MFA from Washington University in St. Louis; her writing has appeared in McSweeny’s and other journals. Her debut novel, The Adults, opens with a fiftieth birthday party and ends with a funeral, and in between Espach offers an irresistible story of a modern young woman facing love and death in all their many forms.
