Tonight: Jeffrey Eugenides reads!
Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jeffrey Eugenides, author of literary touchstones The Virgin Suicides and Middlesex, returns with his first novel in nine years: a coming-of-age story for a new age, evoking both the romantic novels of the Victorian era and the influence of Derrida and deconstruction. An unconventional love triangle which ranges from New England academia to Europe, India and beyond, the novel is being heralded as a stunning new achievement for one of our most important literary writers. Greenlight is proud to host Eugenides for his Brooklyn launch (and the only event in the borough); he will read and sign books, and we’re looking forward to packing the house!
Please note: Eugenides will sign unlimited copies of The Marriage Plot and a maximum of 2 backlist books per customer. Personalized inscriptions will be allowed, time permitting. Customers with books purchased from Greenlight will be given priority in the signing line. Upon purchase, each customer will receive a signing line pass with a "group number" indicating his/her place in the signing line. Passes will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. Buy your copy as early as Tuesday, October 11 at Greenlight to ensure an early spot. Those customers without passes (did not buy their copy from Greenlight) must wait at the end of the line.
